Welcome to the Diversitas Coaching - September 2021 Newsletter

In September we had R U OK Day which is a terrific initiative. For the past 18 months most of us have been experiencing different degrees of Ok. It serves as a reminder to keep checking in with those around us how they are doing and offering a kind ear or shoulder. While also referring them to professional help if needed. Likewise, if you are finding things tough, be kind to yourself and reach out and get the support you need to return to your best form. Remember it is Ok not to be Ok and to get support. People are there to help you.

'Increasing the 'meaning quotient' of work' McKinsey
“Through a few simple techniques, executives can boost workplace “MQ” and inspire employees to perform at their peak.”

If ever there was a challenging time to manage and lead people in organisations it is now. While organisations and employees have always understood that we exchange our time and intellect and technical expertise for pay. However, we now want more meaning behind what we do and are prepared to leave if we don’t get it. We want more joy and satisfaction from our work. We want to be proud of the organisations we work for and to know they are adding some positive value to the lives of others including their employees. Employees want to work with organisations that have meaningful values that are real. When the values are respect, trust and people first this must be lived and authentic. Now more than ever with the pandemic people are seeking more meaning from their work and to be a part of something that matters.
